A Royal Soap Opera

    Inspired by an actual bar of commemorative soap from the 1981 royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, this contemporary, comical, and operetta-infused musical transforms the true love triangle of Diana, Charles, and Camillia into a story of young woman in love with a “Bobby.”  Originally commissioned and performed by Prospect Theatre at The Clurman under the direction of Dev Bondarin, this short musical is being expanded into a full-length work that spans from the 1981 wedding to the wedding of Prince Philip and Kate in 2011.  It’s a fun and soapy mix of romance, royalty, and high B flats.
